This recipe makes 4 burgers.

Dry Ingredient | Amount |

Paprika | 1 tbsp |
Light brown sugar | 1 tbsp |
Salt | 1 tsp |
Black pepper | 1 tsp |
Garlic powder | 1 tsp |
Dried Basil | 1/2 tsp |
Crushed red pepper | 1/4 tsp |
Dried minced onion (optional) | 2 tsp |
Wet Ingredient | Amount |

Soy sauce | 1 tbsp |
Worcestershire sauce | 1 tbsp |
- Combine all dry ingredients in a small bowl
- In a separate bowl, per 1 pound of meat, add 1 heaping tablespoon of dry mix and 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce and worcestershire sauce
- Store any remaining dry mix in an airtight container for up to 3 months

Bacon | 1lb |
- Cut the package of bacon in half
- Pan fry the bacon 🥓 (use of a bacon press is highly recommended)

Pre-formed burger patties | 4, 1/3 lb patties |
Bacon | 1lb |
Cheddar cheese | 4 slices |
Various other burger toppings | - |
- Pre-heat a skillet to medium heat
- Pre-heat a pan (that can be covered) to medium-high heat
- Drench the burger patties in the seasoning mixture
- Place the patties on the pre-heated skillet
- Cook for 4 minutes
- Flip the patties over, cook for 2 minutes
- Add the cheese, continue cooking for 1-2 minutes

Using a digital thermometer, ensure that the center of the burgers reach 145°F

- Toast the buns while the burger is cooking
- Assemble the burger, breaking up the bacon into small-ish pieces before putting it directly on top of the cheese
- Add various other desired toppings
